Wendel's German Bakery & Bistro II

Once again, this's a tiring weekend, mainly resulted from my Irish dance class.I guess I'm just like a idiot, when I dance.I can barely catch the rhythm.Although I got a passion for it,I still feel so frustrated some time.Hopefully, practice does make perfect!

So that's why I really need to get some comfort food afterward.Within walking distance, there's a lovely German bistro.I'm kinda their frequent customer that I make it a routine to stop by after the dancing class.

I buy a raspberry cake and a salmon salad. They have a great deal of homemade cake, cheap and unbelievably delicious.Usually,I ain't a big fan of loose texture, like a mousse or sponge cake,so I'm really happy that their cake is soooooo moist and dense.

As for the salmon salad,it's such a hearty dish. There're various garnishes, including mushroom , pepper, veggie , nuts , tomato, without mentioning four huge pieces of salmon.

Ah!They look yumm,right?Have a good week!

I have a lovely date with my friend today.Yet,exploring a new restaurant is not the point today. Then,we just randomly choose a nice place to dine.We had a great time there, chatting everything.Although we attend the same university,we rarely meet each other. So it's a good time to catch up.

It has been a long time since I visited here last time.We had a onion soup,Paillassons aux saumon fumé(backed potato cake with smoked salmon) and Cuisse de poulet rôtie farcie au couscous(rosted chicken leg&couscous).

Being a huge fan of couscous,I'm thrilled to see it on the menu.It is like the top 3 staple food I love. It's weird to find myself not being a fan of rice, but in love with couscous. My point is,you gotta try if you haven't had it yet.

Paul can be seen everywhere around the world. It's good place to have a enjoyable quick meal. It's worth a shot,if there's one around ya!

This ain't really a post

I actually posted this picture on my facebook like a month ago, just trying to capture the most relaxing moment I love.During my leisure time,I love to stay at home, blogging, reading and having something good to eat at the same time.

Since I work as a translator this weekend,I have neither time nor energy to go to a restaurant. To my anxiety,I have a coming French test and I have little time to prepare!Keep your fingers crossed for me!

And for those who leave your sweet comments,I'll try to get back to you asap!

L'idiot Restaurant

It's Taiwan's National Day today, which means we get a day-off.I guess there isn't a better plan than going to a restaurant with an old friend.

L'idiot has been in my mind for quite a while.Since they just changed their menu last month,I immediately felt like it's time to take a crack.

The moment you step inside, you are swept into a sea world. The decoration is so cute and delicate. It doesn't take long to decide our dishes. The sad thing is all of their salmon is sold out, which is my favorite fish in the world.Still,I find something tempting to fill up my starving stomach. We get a caesar salad, breakfast beef burrito, roast beef with poached organic eggs.It goes without saying that a perfect meal must ends with a sweet dish.We have a freshly made tiramisu and a molten cake with vanilla ice cream respectively.

The food is great, but what I enjoy the best is the time I spent with my sweet friend. We talk about everything.Even if there're some silent pauses,we don't feel awkward.I think that is the real meaning of a true friend. You don't have to worry if there's nothing to say.You can just sit and take your ease while enjoying either a meal or a cup of coffee.

After having some happy hours,I have to face the reality now, which is preparing some papers and tests.Talk soon!

The antidote against a exhausting week.

Since the new semester began,I've been pretty busy all the time. And the truth is I have to commute back and forth between my university and my home for like almost four  hours every day. It's really killing!People ask me why I don't get a dorm or rent a house,my answer is there's no place like home, and particularly I don't like the area around my uni.

There're lots of things going on lately, like the school stuffs,my Irish dance class, and some preparations for a coming job, which may explain why I didn't eat out for a while. Here are some photos I would like to share with you. They are some cakes brought back by my mom.Given the fact that they are from different bakeries, and I kinda forget those names,I'll just skip the details.

Aw!But I can say something about those plates. The first one is a lovely set I got from Harrods in London. And the following are some delicate china, which my mom bought twenty years ago in Europe. So evidently,my obsession with china is inherited from my mom.Like mother, like daughter!

Hope you'll all have a fantastic week!
